Why foster with

Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council

There are some great reasons to choose to foster with Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council. We provide a high level of support through a supervising social worker, support groups and an extensive training package.

Allowance

Foster carers for the local authority will receive a generous fostering allowance, a foster carer fee and car mileage allowance.

Our Support Network

Our foster carers receive expert advice, guidance and support on education and health needs for the young people they care for. You will also receive excellent ongoing and up-to-date training which is flexible to fit round their lifestyle and tailored to their needs. We also give our carers access to local support groups and social events throughout the year.

We’re Local!

Foster carers have access to a local fostering team at offices based within Redcar & Cleveland.  Training Courses and Support Groups are held within local venues throughout the borough.
